The Choral Programme offers experience in high-quality choral performance for talented musicians from as young as 5 years of age. Various levels of choir are offered through the programme, catering for a wide range of ages and interests. All of the choirs share a common purpose in their pursuit of artistic quality. The Cottage Holiday Music Programme also provides children with the opportuniy of experiencing our programme during the school holiday period. |
||||
Within our choral program we encourage independent thinking and individual creativity. Members are encouraged to be actively involved in all aspects of the presentation of the choir - instrumentalists are encouraged to play with the choir and to accompany the choir occasionally in concerts. |

"We put up the fancy spires first. When we saw that the whole edifice was shaky, we set to building the walls. We have still to make a cellar. This has been the situation, particularly in our musical culture. If in 1875 instead of establishing the Academy of Music, we had laid the foundations for the teaching of singing in schools, today's musical culture would be greater and more general." (Zoltán Kodály, Hungary, 1941/1957) |
