Biography - Danielle Joynt

A native of Perth, Danielle Joynt graduated from the Canberra School of Music, Australian National University, with a degree in Trombone Performance. She pursued post-graduate studies at the Zoltán Kodály Pedagogical Institute of Music in Kecskemét, Hungary, graduating in 1988.

In 1989 she took up a lecturing position at the Canberra School of Music, teaching in the school's Primary Music Programme, a programme designed in part to pursue standards of excellence being achieved in the 'singing' primary schools in Hungary. Danielle was subsequently co-ordinator of the Early Chidhood Programme at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, before moving back in Perth to establish Cottage School of Music in 1998.

A specialist in Early Childhood Music, Danielle is widely considered to be one of Australia's most outstanding Early Childhood Music teachers.
